Did You Know Okra Aka Bhindi Is An Aphrodisiac? How It Can Boost Libido

Our own bhindi, i.e. Okra as it is most commonly known, is said to be libido-stimulating and is extremely beneficial for women and their sexual health.

For centuries, men and women have looked to aphrodisiacs to induce sexual desire or desire. For the uninformed, an aphrodisiac is any food or drug that enhances libido and sexual pleasure, and performance.

And it wouldn’t be fair to say that we all deserve a great sex life. But did you know that Okra, aka Bhindi, which most of us can indulge in due to its slimy nature, is also an aphrodisiac?

Benefits of Bhindi for sexual health

According to Rashid Chowdhary, Ph.D. nutritionist, “The edible part of Bhindi comes from the plant’s seed pods. The vegetable is one of the greens that promote sexual well-being for women.”

Well, it’s rich in Iron, folates, Zinc, and B vitamins. All these are beneficial for the gonads. Similarly, it also acts as a natural relaxant as it helps to balance the libido, thanks to its high beta-carotene content.

In his Instagram video, Chowdhary cites three ways to use the vegetable as an aphrodisiac and herbal medicine.

1. To stimulate the appetite

Bhindi or Okra is a powerhouse of nutrition and supports body function on many levels. It is an excellent source of fiber, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. Not only that, it includes both soluble and insoluble fiber.

The latter cannot be dissolved by water and helps the food pass easily through the gastrointestinal tract. However, both types of fiber provide a feeling of fullness in the stomach and therefore help curb appetite.

2. For the treatment of gonorrhea (STD), dysentery, and UTI

The high water content in BBhindi and its anti-inflammatory properties improve stomach function and flush out toxins. With all its benefits, it is beneficial in treating dysentery and urinary tract infection (UTI).

On the other hand, since it is a diuretic, men suffering from gonorrhea can benefit from it as it reduces the hot feeling while also helping them to urinate.

3. For the treatment of vaginal dryness

Women who suffer from excessive bleeding during their menstrual cycle or endometriosis swear by okra juice. 3-4 bhindis are prepared by scraping, adding water to it, keeping it overnight, and then drinking it in the morning.

It also helps with vaginal dryness. Okra juice is also rich in estrogen and zinc. It helps to fight against exhaustion and helps to revive sexual vitality.

So all ladies have a bhindi for better sex life.
